About

The name

A vector has two properties: direction and magnitude. Adoption metrics tell you people moved. They don't tell you which way, or how far. TalentVector is named for the thing worth measuring.

The house

TalentVector AI, LLC is an instrument house for the human side of AI-era work, based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We study how work adapts when AI enters it, define what counts as evidence that it did, and build the instruments that produce that evidence. NextPass is the first.

The founder

Brett VanTil founded TalentVector. He has built and deployed more than a hundred AI systems inside professional-services organizations — including a development harness of his own that has shipped over a million lines of production code — which is how he learned that shipping the technology and changing the work are two different problems. Years working alongside HR and L&D teams turned the second one into a company.

Where this comes from

NextPass was built end to end for one proprietary management curriculum that needed proof its method transferred out of the workshop and into real conversations. The pattern behind that need — programs that can show what people learned and not what they did — is what TalentVector now studies.
